Ankan Pramanick

Software Engineer at Pepperdata

Ankan Pramanick has over 28 years of work experience in software engineering. Ankan started their career in 1991 as a Development Staff Member at IBM, where they worked on software development projects related to testability issues in logic synthesis, delay fault testing/simulation, fault-coverage enhancement tools, and CAD tools integration. Ankan then moved to Nextwave Design Automation Inc. in 1995 as a Staff Engineer, where they worked on research and development of a statistical spread-delay Verilog-compatible timing simulator package. In 1997, they joined Advantest R&D as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they led the software team working on the “middleware” for the company’s first, experimental, event-based tester prototype. Ankan was then promoted to Group Lead, and then to Chief Software Architect/Director of Software Engineering, where they were accountable for all software work done at Advantest America’s R&D Center. Ankan then moved to Pepperdata in 2014 as a Software Engineer.

Ankan Pramanick attended St. Joseph's College from 1968 to 1979, where they earned an ICSE. Ankan then attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 1980 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering. Finally, they attended the University of Iowa and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
