Markus Eggeling has an extensive background in research and development, particularly in the field of photoelectric and radar sensor technology. Currently serving as Director of Technology at Pepperl+Fuchs Group since September 2023, Markus leads R&D efforts for product development in the Division of Entrance Automation. Prior roles include ASIA Opto R+D Senior Manager at Pepperl+Fuchs Asia Pte, Ltd from October 2018 to September 2023, and Head of Development Opto KOS-P at Pepperl+Fuchs Group from July 2014 to September 2018. Markus began the career at Pepperl+Fuchs GmbH as a Design Engineer, progressing through several engineering and management positions since 2001, including internships in mechanical design and production. Markus holds a Master of Arts in Business Administration and Project Management from Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin and a Diplom Ingenieur in Mechatronics from Berlin University of Applied Sciences.
