Travis Schmit

Travis Schmit, PhD, DABT, is an accomplished professional in the field of toxicology and molecular biology with extensive experience at PepsiCo since June 2014, ascending through various roles from R&D Senior Scientist - Toxicologist to Director. Prior to this, Travis served as a Research Associate and Graduate Student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where research focused on signaling pathways associated with Fragile X Syndrome and Alzheimer's disease as well as contributions of Polo-like kinase to cancer development. Earlier experience includes a position as Scientist I at TRAC Microbiology, Inc., performing routine pathogen testing. Travis earned a PhD in Molecular Toxicology and a Bachelor's of Science in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
