Alex Baker has worked in the technology and manufacturing industry since 1984. Alex began their career at British Aerospace as a Systems Engineer, before moving to Taylor Associates as a FAE/Junior Partner in 1988. In 1993, they joined Microchip Technology as a Field Applications Engineer - UK/Ireland, and was later promoted to Field Applications Manager W Europe, then Field Applications Manager Asia-Pacific. In 2008, they moved to CDS as a Senior Consultant for Industrial & Manufacturing, and in 2009 they joined JapanRA as a Technology Consultant. In 2019, they joined Peratech Holdco Limited as VP of Product, and was later promoted to Head of Product and Solutions. At Peratech, they lead a team that uses electronic hardware, firmware and mechanic design to provide development and product platforms for use with customers.
Alex Baker has an extensive education history. Alex obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Industrial Electronics from the Bolton Institute of Higher Education (now University of Bolton) between 1990 and 1994, with a focus on semiconductor manufacturing, logic design, communications, analog/digital IC design, and sensors. Alex also earned a BSc in Electronics from Lancaster University between 1981 and 1984. Alex's earlier education was obtained at Sir William Borlase School between 1975 and 1981. In addition, Alex Baker has a Certified BULATS E1 Examiner certification from the Eiken Foundation of Japan, which they obtained in March 2013.
