Eric Johnson

Eric Johnson, Ph.D. is an experienced chemist specializing in aviation fuels and lubricants at Peraton Labs since May 2022. Prior to this role, Johnson was a postdoctoral researcher at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, focusing on the design of single-atom catalysts in metal-organic frameworks to neutralize chemical warfare agents from May 2020 to April 2022. Johnson completed a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Southern California, where involvement included extensive independent and collaborative research in synthetic organometallic and electrochemistry projects. Additionally, Johnson organized and managed scientific seminars as the coordinator for Chemistry Student Hosted Colloquia during graduate studies. An undergraduate research scientist at the University of Mary Washington developed foundational skills in synthetic organic chemistry and research integrity, leading to contributions in nine local and national conferences.
