Frederick (Rick) Liebold has worked in various positions in the engineering field since 1977. Frederick (Rick) began their career in the US Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician, where they held various positions and achieved a DOD secret security clearance. In 1999, they became a Lead Combat Systems Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding, a Division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. There, they produced extensive designs for removal of obsolete equipment and installation of new systems. In 2003, they joined Ceramaspeed, Inc. as a Senior Application Engineer, where they expertly performed continuous thermal and electrical testing and invented a new concept warming element. Finally, in 2008, they became a Product Engineering Manager and Product Engineer at Perceptics, where they were responsible for product development, 2D and 3D electro-mechanical, fabrication, cabling, assembly and system design, and panel layout and design.
Frederick (Rick) Liebold obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Old Dominion University in 1998. Prior to that, they obtained an Electronics Technician degree from US Navy Aviation Electronics A School in 1978. In 1984, they obtained a Journeyman Electronic Mechanic certification from the US Department of Labor.
