John Dalton

John Dalton has over three decades of industrial experience. In 2017, they created Industrial Device Investments (IDI) to invest in great technical product companies. From 2006 to 2020, Dalton held various roles in different companies, such as Chief Executive Officer, Lead Investor & Board Chair at Perceptics LLC, Chairman & Board Director at Materials Research Furnaces, Investor & Board Member at Proton Power, Inc., Board Member at SunBelt Packaging, LLC, Chairman and Board Member at Tucker Architectural Millworks, Board Member at Covington Industries LLC, Operating Partner at SouthPointe Ventures, LLC, and Board Member at Aerial Access Equipment, LLC. From 1998 to 2004, they were Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Contract Services at Consolidated Engineering Company.

John Dalton attended Cornell University from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering. In 1993, they went on to receive a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations. John has also taken short courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Business Applications for Internet of Things & Business Implications of Artificial Intelligence, and is a Governance Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Governance.
