David Yang

David Yang is a Co-Founder at Perch AI, where they focus on scaling up production of Machine Learning and Deep Learning solutions, including researching and applying ML models, tracking and monitoring ML projects, data management, and deployment to production. Previously, they served at Bloomberg LP as a Machine Learning Engineer (2016–2018) and Machine Learning Engineering Manager, building and deploying deep learning solutions for NLP information extraction and overseeing a 20+ person team to develop ML platforms and tools for financial data extraction. Earlier, they worked as a Financial Software Engineer at Bloomberg (2011–2016), building an application and analysis engine for Mortgage Structured Products. Butter Technologies employed them as Head of Engineering (2022–2024), where they built the first-to-market AI ordering solution in the food distribution industry. They earned a BS in Computer Engineering from Columbia University (2007–2011).
