Jason B.

Jason B. has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Jason currently works as a Sr. Staff Devops Engineer (lead) at percipient.ai, where they started in June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Viasat Inc. as a Cloud Engineer from an unknown start date until 2021. In this role, they implemented Ansible automation patterns, reduced maintenance times, and built cloud infrastructure resources. Before Viasat, they were a Sr. DevOps Engineer at Verimatrix from March 2016 to December 2018. In this role, they facilitated the growth of the public cloud, utilized Jenkins CI/CD for infrastructure routines, and built an OpenStack private cloud. Jason began their career at Qualcomm in 2006 as a Staff Technical Support Engineer. Jason developed tools using PERL, administered Linux application servers, and provided technical support for wireless application developers and testers. Jason also had a previous role in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician, 2nd Class, where they specialized in SATCOM and supervised maintenance and systems support.

Jason B. obtained an A.A. in Electronics Technology from Coastline Community College. Jason then went on to pursue a B.S. in Business and Computer Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus, graduating in 2005. Later, from 2010 to 2013, Jason attended Stevens Institute of Technology and completed their Master's of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering. In terms of certifications, Jason obtained the SAFe 4.0 Practitioner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in January 2017 and the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020.
