Rakesh Mathur

Rakesh Mathur has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rakesh is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Fizz, a platform that has gained popularity among Stanford undergraduates as a one-stop shop for campus life and a platform for expressing opinions.

In 2017, Rakesh co-founded Whiterabbit.ai, a healthcare AI start-up focused on early cancer detection. Their suite of products has been implemented in over 300 radiology centers to reduce the incidence of late-stage breast cancer.

During the same year, Rakesh also co-founded percipient.ai, an advanced analytics firm that delivers AI products and services for intelligence and national security missions. The company is led by Retired US Air Force General Balan Ayyar.

In 2014, Rakesh became a Series A Investor for H2O.ai, which aims to democratize AI by making it more accessible and easier to deploy.

In 2004, Rakesh co-founded Gupshup, a conversational messaging platform that has facilitated the delivery of over 300 billion messages.

Prior to these ventures, Rakesh held the position of CEO at Flywheel Software, a ride-hailing app and SaaS fleet management service, until its acquisition in 2017.

Rakesh also founded Droptalk in 2012, a venture that operated until 2014, and JustChalo in the same year, which was subsequently acquired by Open Table in June 2013.

Rakesh's entrepreneurial journey began in 2010 with the founding of SnapStick, a content sharing technology company that was acquired by TIVO in 2012.

In 1999, Rakesh co-founded Stratify, Inc. and served as the CEO and Chairman until 2003.

Rakesh Mathur earned their Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where they studied from 1973 to 1978. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research at The University of Texas at Arlington, from 1978 to 1980.
