David Poole

David Poole has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. David most recently worked at Percona as the Senior Director of Engineering. Prior to that, they held roles at Conduent, where they served as the Sr. Software Development Manager/Director of Engineering responsible for managing a remote engineering organization and overseeing Azure infrastructure and compliance efforts. David also worked at Teamworks as a Software Engineering Manager, leading development teams and overseeing product delivery for the Professional Sports market. David spent several years at Red Storm Entertainment as the Senior Live and DevOPS Manager and later as the Senior Online Architect and Live Producer, where they managed production systems, coordinated with various disciplines, and provided technical leadership for online systems. David also worked at CCP Games as the Web Technical Director and US Web Manager, where they oversaw web development efforts for EVE Online and other MMO projects. Earlier in their career, David served as an Internet Developer at Intercontinental Hotels Group and worked as a Java Consultant for Shaw Industries. David also worked at DS Waters as the Java Lead, leading the development and architecture of java-based solutions. David began their career at Canada Life Assurance Company as a Senior Programmer Analyst.

David Poole attended the University of Waterloo from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics. David later received certifications as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from LitheSpeed in 2009, a Fellow in Life Management Institute (FLMI) from Life Management Institute, LLC, and as a Sun Certified Developer for Java 2EE from Sun Microsystems.
