Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Percona

Santo L. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of database support and management. Santo started their career as an intern at INFN in 2004, followed by co-founding a start-up software house and serving as CTO from 2006 to 2010. Santo then joined Oracle as a Principal Technical Support Engineer in the EMEA Team for MySQL, providing technical support and consultancy to customers from 2010 to 2013. Santo later became the EMEA Manager of MySQL Customer Support at Oracle, managing and leading a virtual team of support engineers from 2013 to 2016.

In 2016, Santo founded remoteNodes, where they offered a range of services including technical support, consulting, solution architecture, and documentation for global database vendors and entrepreneurs. Santo then moved on to work as a Customer Success Lead at Dgraph Labs in 2019, building a global Customer Success Organization and overseeing support operations, pre-and-post sales support activities, and sales/renewals.

Santo joined ArangoDB as the Director of Global Post-Sales Customer Services in 2017, where they led a team providing technical support, customer success, and professional services to ArangoDB customers worldwide. Santo also contributed to community support and bug verification and led the documentation and release QA teams for the first 15 months.

In 2020, Santo joined Percona as a Technical Account Manager (TAM), providing technical advisory and facilitation to strategic customers and complex deals. Santo later took on the role of Manager, TAM Team, leading a global team of TAMs and onboarding new team members.

Throughout their career, Santo L. has demonstrated strong expertise in database support, customer success, technical management, and leadership roles.

Santo L. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Università degli Studi di Trieste from 2001 to 2004. Later, from 2008 to 2010, Santo completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on International Business at MIB Trieste School of Management.
