David Blackmon has held various leadership roles throughout their career in the food industry. David started at ConAgra Foods in the year 2000, where they served as the Director of Sales for their largest customer, Walmart/Sam's Club. David later became the VP of Regional Retail Sales and then the VP of Retail Sales and Marketing for ConAgra Foods' Poultry Division. In 2006, they joined Butterball, LLC as the VP of Sales for Alternate Channels, overseeing sales and P&L accountability for their businesses in various regions. In 2011, they moved to Pilgrim's as the VP of Sales, where they were responsible for all sales activities for Walmart, Sam's Club, and the Military Commissary business worldwide. In 2016, they joined Perdue Farms as the Senior Director of Sales Club Mass. In 2019, they transitioned to Perdue Foods as the VP of Central Region Sales, a position they currently hold.
David Blackmon holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Arkansas. David also completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Domestic & International Agricultural Marketing at the same institution.

Arthur W. Perdue founded Perdue Farms in 1920 but the company gained national attention as a brand name in the 1970s when son and successor, Franklin P. Perdue, became television pitchman for the company. Today, Jim Perdue, grandson of the founder, is the chief executive and the face of Perdue on television. The company sells chicken and turkey products to food retailers and food service companies in the Eastern and Midwestern U.S. and exports poultry products to more than 70 foreign countries around the world. Perdue runs two soybean-processing plants that produce vegetable oils and ingredients for animal feed.
