Senior Agroecosystem Scientist at Perennial

Mitchell Donovan has a comprehensive work experience in various scientific and research roles. Mitchell began their professional career as an Environmental Pollution Analyst at Columbia Technologies in April 2008 and worked there until February 2009. Mitchell then joined USGS as a SCEP Hydrologic Technician from April 2009 to May 2014. Mitchell also worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Turku in 2014.

In August 2015, they started their Ph.D. at Utah State University, specializing in an undisclosed field, and completed it in June 2019. Following the completion of their Ph.D., Mitchell joined AgResearch as a Landscape Scientist in June 2019 and continued until July 2022.

In January 2022, Mitchell transitioned to Terra Informatics, where they served as a Principal Scientist until July 2022. Currently, they are employed as an Applied Scientist, specializing in Agroecosystems, at Perennial since July 2022.

Mitchell Donovan began their education at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Environmental Science from 2007 to 2011. Mitchell then pursued further studies at the same university, obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Science from 2011 to 2013. Mitchell continued their academic journey as an Affiliated Researcher at Turun yliopisto - University of Turku in 2014 and 2015, focusing on Fluvial Geomorphology. Subsequently, they enrolled at Utah State University from 2014 to 2018 as a PhD. Student, specializing in Fluvial morphology and GIS applications.
