Michael Sklyar

Michael Sklyar has extensive work experience in the software engineering and data services field. Michael is currently the VP R&D and Co-founder at PerfectScale since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Logz.io as the Platform and Enablement Team Lead from May 2020 to April 2022.

Before Logz.io, Michael held various roles at Cyren, starting as a Software Engineer from January 2015 to March 2016, where they led a real-time streaming project processing billions of transactions per day. Michael then became the DWH Team Lead, R&D from March 2016 to October 2017, managing near real-time streaming and big data batch processing and analysis. Finally, they served as the Director of Data Services from October 2017 to March 2020, leading and managing a group of Big Data specialists, researching and developing various technologies and supporting multiple products and business units.

Prior to Cyren, Michael worked at Pontis as a Technical Lead from November 2011 to July 2012 and later as a Project Manager from May 2012 to December 2014. Michael also studied Chinese language at China, Hangzhou, Zhejiang University from August 2010 to July 2011.

Their earlier work experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Celtro from 2009 to 2010 and at Websilicon from 2004 to 2008. Michael started their career as a software engineer with IDF (Israel Defense Forces) from January 2001 to December 2004. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in various technologies and has held leadership positions throughout their career.

Michael Sklyar attended Tel Aviv University from 2007 to 2010. During their time there, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Far East Studies. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2001, they attended the IDF computer school (mamram) where they studied software engineering. No degree was specified for their studies at the IDF computer school.
