Sofia Crespi

Sofia Crespi is a Group R&D Junior Extruded Specialist at Perfetti Van Melle since June 2018, focusing on planning and executing trials in an extruder pilot plant, developing new products, and managing raw materials and recipes. Prior experience includes a role as a Food Scientist Intern at Whirlpool Corporation, where Sofia evaluated refrigerator performance for food preservation and utilized various instrumental techniques for food quality assessment. An internship at Università degli Studi di Milano involved research on the application of IR spectroscopy in the olive oil sector, and an R&D internship at Modecor Italiana focused on developing a preservative-free gelled product. Sofia holds a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Università degli Studi di Milano.
