Alex Short is the founder and CEO of PerformID since June 2019. Before that, they worked at Rakuten Advertising as the Director of Strategic Partnerships from December 2018 to August 2020, where they focused on project management, business development, and tech integrations. Alex also held various roles at Rakuten Advertising, including Director of Network Development Asia from April 2018 to December 2018, Operations Manager Asia Pacific from April 2016 to April 2018, APAC Network Development Manager from April 2015 to April 2016, and APAC Account Specialist from July 2014 to April 2015. Prior to their tenure at Rakuten Advertising, Alex was the Marketing and Development Manager at Corporate Executive Offices from April 2013 to July 2014. Alex also worked as an Elementary School Teacher at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education from February 2011 to March 2013.
Alex Short obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs from Dublin City University, where they studied from 2007 to 2010.
