Cindy Zeis

Cindy Zeis has extensive work experience in various industries. Cindy began their career in construction and automotive industries, working as a General Laborer at Zeis Construction & Auto Restoration, where they gained experience in house painting, foundation work, masonry, and automotive restoration. Cindy then worked at Cummings Repair Service, assisting in general office tasks and technical duties. Following that, they served in the US Army as a Scout Helicopter A&P Technician, working on various helicopter models and retrofitting aircraft for increased safety. After their military service, they worked in the automotive industry, specializing in Dealership Service Dept. Management & Marketing, where they managed service departments and marketed services. Cindy later worked as a Product Manager at Standard Motor Products, where they were responsible for product design, marketing, packaging, and data management. In 2004, they joined Habitat for Humanity as the Director of Construction, overseeing site planning, building design, project management, and implementing sustainable building strategies. Cindy developed training programs and spoke nationally on sustainable building design and fundraising. In 2012, they worked as a Re-Leaf Specialist at Aspen Contracting Inc., and in 2013, they started their own consulting company, Zeis Consulting Services. Cindy'smost recent position was at Performance Systems Development (PSD) as a Manager of Provider Services, where they were responsible for managing service providers. Currently, Cindy holds the position of Vice President on the Board of Directors at Northeast Home Energy Rating System Alliance (NEHERS).

Cindy Zeis has a diverse education history. In 1981, they attended the US Army - Aviation where they pursued a degree in Helicopter Repair as an A&P Technician. Cindy'sspecialization was in Scout Helicopter Repair. In 2001, they enrolled in SCCC and completed an Associate of Arts degree in Optics (Optician) by 2003.

In 2007, Cindy pursued a different field of study and attended Kaplan - Inspection Training Associates. Cindy obtained a degree in Residential Home Inspection and became a Licensed Home Inspector.

In addition to their formal education, Cindy also holds several certifications. Cindy became a RESNET Certified Trainer and obtained the RESNET Quality Assurance Designee certification in January 2020. In March 2015, they became an EPA RRP Instructor certified by the US Environmental Protection Agency. Cindy also earned a certification as a Residential Lead Renovator, granted by the Environmental Protection Agency in 2010. In 2007, they obtained the New York Residential Home Inspector certification from the State of NY. Lastly, Cindy is a HERS Rater (Energy Auditor), certified by the Residential Energy Services Network and Long Island Power Authority, although the specific details of when and where they obtained this certification are not available.
