Van Riviere has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Van started their career as a Battalion Chief at the City of Stockton Fire Department, where they served for 17 years before retiring. Following their retirement, they joined Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 as a Business Representative, specifically handling public employee affairs. Additionally, Van Riviere worked at Tablet Command, first as a Customer Success and Account Executive and later became the President-Chief Executive Officer. At Tablet Command, they played a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive emergency response and management solutions for various emergency service agencies worldwide. Currently, they serve as the Chief Development Officer at Perimeter, leading a team in providing an all-risk solution that supports collaboration and information sharing in incidents across disciplines and jurisdictional boundaries.
Van Riviere attended Grand Canyon University from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety & Emergency Management.
