Christopher Rom, PhD, has a diverse background in research and education within the fields of materials chemistry and emergency medical services. As an undergraduate researcher at Knope Research Group, Christopher explored the reactivity of thorium(IV) with organic ligands, contributing to peer-reviewed publications. Subsequently, at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher, Christopher developed new inorganic materials, resulting in multiple publications, technical presentations, and a patent application. Christopher also served as a DOE SCGSR Fellow, synthesizing nitride thin films for semiconducting and magnetic applications, yielding additional publications. Experience includes leadership roles in emergency medical services and youth education, alongside teaching organic chemistry at Georgetown University. Christopher holds a PhD in Materials Chemistry from Colorado State University, where significant research and publication achievements were accomplished.
