Project Architect

Emily Ray is a Project Architect at Perkins and Will in Chicago, specializing in K-12 education, adaptive reuse, and community-focused projects. A licensed architect, Emily previously worked as a Project Architect at HBRA Architects and Wheeler Kearns Architects. As a founding member of AIA Chicago's LGBTQIA+ Alliance, Emily is dedicated to equity in architecture and was honored with the AIA Chicago Dubin Family Young Architect Award in 2024. Their notable projects include the Broadway Youth Center, the Great Lakes Academy Expansion, and the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School Expansion. Emily is also committed to mentoring future designers through various programs, including ACE mentorship and WKA LIFT.
