Hardware Design Manager at Perle Systems

Vlad Sergeyev has over 30 years of experience in the field of electronics and hardware design. Vlad began their career in 1987 as a Hardware Engineer at Odessa Scientific-Research Institute of Television, where they created and implemented an information communication system between Tracking Headquarters and Space Station "Mir" via TV channel, and designed and established the information system Videotext. In 2000, they became a Senior Hardware Engineer and Team Lead at Enterprise "OM", where they modernized and implemented hardware and firmware for the control system for sugar-refinery factories, and renovated and implemented hardware and firmware for the TV-computer system for diagnostics of eye diseases. From 2002 to 2006, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at Integrity Testing Laboratory Inc. From 2006 to 2015, they were a Sr. Electronics Designer at Smiths Detection, where they performed a full cycle of the product development from architecture and conceptual design to production of the computerized control module for a new generation of the chemical agent detector based on Ion Mobility Spectrometer (IMS). From 2015 to 2019, they were a Sr. Electronics Designer at Teknoscan Systems Inc., where they prepared system, electrical, and firmware design requirements and specifications for the NHHD - handheld trace chemical analyzer based on Ion Mobility Spectrometer (IMS). Since 2019, they have been the Hardware Design Manager at Perle Systems.

Vlad Sergeyev obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from Odessa National Polytechnic University between 1982 and 1987. Vlad then went on to earn their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ryerson University between 2005 and 2010.
