Daniel Tan

Daniel Tan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Daniel started their career in 2003 as a 1st Lieutenant in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). In 2009, they joined Barclays Capital as an Analyst in the IBD TMT department. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as an Associate at Serent Capital. In 2015, they became an Investment Director at Permira, focusing on the technology, services, and education sectors. Daniel later took on the roles of Principal and Head of Singapore at Permira before assuming the position of Head of Asia in 2022. Additionally, they served as a Board Member at Magento Commerce from 2015 to 2018, at Tricor Group from 2017 to 2022, at EF English First from 2020 onwards, and will join Acuity Knowledge Partners as a Board Member in 2023.

Daniel Tan completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and Music from Vassar College, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Daniel also pursued an International Baccalaureate from UWC-USA during the period of 2001 to 2003.
