Charan Tej has worked in the software engineering industry since 2010. charan began their career at Zoho Corporation as a Member Technical Staff, where they developed features for ZOHO Sheet, developed a front end framework for the product, and performed other duties. In 2015, they moved to FireEye, Inc. where they held the roles of Staff Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer, and Software Engineer. In 2021, they began working at Permiso Security as a Senior Staff Software Engineer.

Charan Tej has a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University, which they obtained between 2004 and 2008. charan also has a number of certifications from Lynda.com, including CSS Fundamentals, Foundations of Programming: Object-Oriented Design, Sass Essential Training, Up and Running with AngularJS 1, and Up and Running with Backbone.js, which they obtained in August 2016.
