Nate Kupp

Nate Kupp is an accomplished professional in the field of engineering and infrastructure, currently serving as the VP of Infrastructure at Perplexity since September 2025. Previously, Nate held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at Instacart from April 2021 to September 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing foundational data teams in Data Engineering and Data Platform. Prior to that, Nate was Director of Engineering at Dagster Labs (March 2019 - March 2021), focusing on next-generation data orchestration. Nate's career also includes roles such as Director of Infrastructure & Data Science at Thumbtack (December 2014 - March 2019), managing technical infrastructure and data science teams, and as a Manager at Apple (June 2012 - December 2014), where innovations in iOS battery life analytics were implemented.
