Nathan Barksdale is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in commercial and intellectual property law, currently serving as the Head of Legal at Perplexity since October 2024. Prior to this role, Nathan was the Senior Director, Head of Commercial Legal and Intellectual Property at OpenSea, managing various commercial and IP matters for the leading NFT marketplace and overseeing M&A transactions, venture investments, and compliance. With a background as a legal consultant for diverse sectors, including mobility services and entertainment, Nathan previously held various positions at Uber, where contributions included advising on emerging technologies and managing legal affairs for European markets. Nathan's legal expertise is supported by a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
