Joseph J. Shields

Joseph J. Shields is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in public relations and digital marketing. Currently serving as Senior Manager of CSCA Communications at Perrigo Company plc since May 2010, Joseph shields oversees the communications strategy for the Consumer Self-Care Americas division, managing media relations, product launches, and crisis management. As Editor in Chief of The Virginia Sportsman Magazine since August 2017, Joseph oversees all print and digital platforms, focusing on the region's sporting culture. Prior roles include Director of Public Relations & Internet Marketing at PBM Products, where Joseph established PR protocols in multiple countries, and Director of Marketing Communications at Beta-Pro LLC. Education includes an MBA in Marketing from the University of Maryland and a certificate in Nutrition Science for Communications Professionals from Tufts University.
