Derek Clayton, CPD, has extensive experience in military and civilian roles, notably serving with USASOC from August 2006 to April 2016 in various capacities, including 18E-Special Operations Communications and 18Z Special Forces Senior Sergeant, where leadership of a skilled team of Special Forces soldiers targeted threats in the AFRICOM AOR. Following this, Derek transitioned to AFSOC as Program Manager from May 2022 to January 2024, managing advanced communications programs to enhance warfighter capabilities, and currently serves as a Sales Engineer at Persistent Systems, LLC since January 2024. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Defense Analysis and Strategic Studies from Norwich University (2015-2018), a Master's degree in Homeland Security and Criminal Justice from Liberty University (2020-2022), and an Associate's degree in General Studies from Fayetteville Technical Community College (2013-2014), graduating with a 3.96 GPA.
