Daniel Chu

Daniel Chu is an experienced data privacy and protection professional, currently serving as the Data Protection Officer (Senior Manager) at Persistent Systems since March 2024. In this role, Daniel is responsible for designing and deploying a Global Privacy Framework and Program, while collaborating with Delivery Partners and Internal Functions for privacy assurance strategies. Prior to this, Daniel held the position of Data Protection Manager at bp, where a Privacy-by-Design process was established to integrate privacy considerations into product development. With a background at Wipro Limited spanning nearly two decades, Daniel successfully contributed to GDPR compliance projects, managed risk and compliance processes, and led operational teams, enhancing organizational capabilities in data privacy and governance. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Hons. from Indira Gandhi National Open University and completed early education at St. Anthony High School.
