Shamik Dutta

Shamik Dutta is a seasoned executive in the field of Data, Analytics, and AI, currently serving as Vice President at Persistent Systems since August 2025. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Tata Consultancy Services, where Shamik held the position of Head of Data & Analytics for Life Sciences from April 2013 to August 2025. During this time, Shamik was instrumental in expanding TCS's footprint, retaining strategic partnerships, and managing large transitions involving extensive data products. Earlier roles included achievements in client partnerships, such as driving 400% revenue growth and pioneering industry-first data fabric implementations. Shamik's career began with several positions, including BI Consultant at KinderCare and Data & Analytics Technical Lead at Wells Fargo. Educationally, Shamik holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University.
