Nathan Johnson

Nathan Johnson is a versatile bioinformatics scientist and engineer with extensive experience in pipeline development, algorithm design, and NGS data analysis. They have held significant roles at organizations such as Spark Therapeutics, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Illumina, where they developed innovative bioinformatics solutions and automated workflows. Currently, Nathan serves as a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer at Personalis, Inc. and continues their education at the University of Pennsylvania, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Classical Studies, while also working towards a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, San Diego. Passionate about teaching, Nathan has led workshops to help colleagues build foundational skills in programming and data science.
