Max Schmidt

Max Schmidt is a researcher and consultant at Perspectives Climate Group since August 2022, focusing on climate finance, just transition topics, and alignment of export credit agencies with the Paris Agreement. Previous roles include guest lecturer at Institut d'études politiques de Rennes, consultant for the International Institute for Sustainable Development, project assistant at Arepo Consult, and various positions at other organizations, contributing to topics such as energy fiscal policies, fossil fuel trade analysis, and project evaluations. Max holds an MSc in Research for International Development from SOAS University of London and two Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Sociology from Leipzig University.
