Senior Project Director at Perspectus Architecture

Brian Broadus has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Brian began their career as a Project Architect at VMDO Architects in 1987 and then joined Train Architects in 1997, where they served as the Historic Preservation Lead and CIO for over a decade. Broadus then worked as a Senior Project Manager at Commonwealth Architects in 2008 before starting their own architectural firm, Brian Carter Broadus LLC, in 2009 where they served as the Owner. In the same year, they also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Virginia. Broadus later worked as a Senior Project Manager at Gale Associates, Inc. in 2012 and as a Business Development Manager at Mimar Architects and Engineers, Inc. from 2013 to 2014. Brian then worked as a Project Architect at ThenDesign Architecture (TDA) from 2017 to 2018 before joining Perspectus Architecture in 2018 as a Senior Project Director.

Brian Broadus attended Clemson University from 1976 to 1980, where they earned a Bachelor of Architecture (BA) degree. In 1983, they enrolled in the University of Virginia and completed a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree, as well as a Master's degree in Architectural History. Brian also holds additional certifications, including LEED AP BD+C obtained from the Green Building Certification Institute in May 2012, and an Architect license from the Department of Professional Occupation and Registration in the Commonwealth of Virginia, which they obtained in September 1987.
