Hamish Gray

Hamish Gray has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Hamish started their career in 2000 as a Database Development and Administration at Sainsbury's. In 2002, they moved to Sainsbury's Management Information department as a Systems Development and Project Manager. In 2005, they joined Amlin Plc as a MicroStrategy Report Developer in the Data Warehouse Team. In 2006, they moved to HBOS as a Developer in Sales and Management Information. In 2007, they joined Analytics8 as a Business Intelligence Consultant in Client Services and Consulting. In 2010, they moved to Zurich Financial Services as a BI Manager. In 2013, they became an Independent Business Intelligence Consultant at Zurich Financial Services Australia. In 2015, they joined Powerco as a Senior Data Engineer and BI Specialist. In 2021, they became a Tech Lead Data at Pet Circle.

Hamish Gray obtained a Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) in Economics and Finance from The University of Waikato between 1995 and 1999. Hamish then obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from AGSM @ UNSW Business School between 2011 and 2016. Hamish has also obtained various certifications, including an Introduction to Data Science in Python from Coursera Course Certificates in September 2017, a Big Data (2015) Specialization from Coursera Course Certificates in January 2017, a Hadoop Platform and Application Framework from Coursera Course Certificates in January 2017, a Machine Learning With Big Data from Coursera Course Certificates in May 2016, an Introduction to Big Data Analytics from Coursera Course Certificates in March 2016, an Introduction to Big Data from Coursera Course Certificates in January 2016, and a Professional Data Engineer from Google Cloud Platform Certified in November 2019.
