The PET is a 501c3 "donation-dependent" nonprofit organization.  We believe no pets should be left behind!  Pet owners can ensure this by remembering their pet when making a will or through making a pet care plan.  Without planning assistance, pet owners tend to never get around to it. The unexpected happens quick and the family pet faces being left behind or unwanted. Veterinarians and shelters see it every day with pets being brought in to be rehomed or euthanized.

The PET works at the state and national level with veterinary and bar associations to increase awareness and education of the importance of pet estate planning.   We help save pets from being homeless/left behind or even euthanized when pet owners are aware and proactively take action to put pet estate planning in place.

Shelters promote spade and neutering, a proven preventive measure. Preventative pet directive planning, will further reduce animals that get left behind  “Remember Your Pet When Making A Will” is a public statement that any pet organization can support.
