Gerard Runham

Gerard Runham is an accomplished Principal Production Chemist and Flow Assurance specialist at PETRONAS, overseeing strategy and guidance in flow assurance and production chemistry since November 2020. With extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, Gerard previously served as Lead Production Chemist at Tullow Oil, providing technical authority across various functions, and as a Production Chemistry Consultant at Maxoil Solutions, delivering expertise in field development and production operations. Early career roles include positions at Helix RDS, Oil Plus, and Mobil Oil, where Gerard gained proficiency in flow assurance studies, quality control, and environmental compliance. Gerard holds an MSc in Oceanography from the University of Southampton and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry from the University of Portsmouth, complemented by an HND in Applied Chemistry.
