Alexander Ball is a Staff Palynologist-Stratigrapher at PetroStrat, specializing in routine, hotshot, and wellsite analyses of palynomorphs from the Cenozoic to Middle Cretaceous periods to construct robust stratigraphic frameworks. They developed a focus on Silurian-Devonian spores and cryptospores during their PhD research at The University of Sheffield, where they investigated the Late Silurian to Early Devonian palynological record and contributed to regional biostratigraphy. With a strong interest in digitizing palynology and leveraging emerging technologies for biostratigraphic analyses, Alexander also possesses excellent project management and communication skills honed in high-pressure environments. Previously, they held a position as a Growth Associate at Moloco. Alexander earned their Bachelor's Degree in Geology with First Class Honours from Royal Holloway, University of London, and completed A Levels in Geology, Geography, and Human Biology at Truro & Penwith College.
