Robert Gater is a Senior Reservoir Geologist at Petrostrat, currently specializing in sedimentology within the CGG Robertson Geological Analysis Team. With expertise in the generation and integration of sedimentological data alongside biostratigraphic, seismic, geochemical, and mineralogical datasets, Robert has contributed to global projects, ranging from field and block-scale reservoir studies to multi-well reservoir geology. Robert has also provided training in sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy for both students and oil companies. Prior to their current role, Robert held various positions at CGG and managed a team at Lidl UK GmbH while earning a Master’s Degree in Geoscience from Keele University.
