Senior Research Engineer at Pex

Filip Korč has a long and varied work experience. Filip began their career in 2002 as a Summer Research Fellow at Union College. In 2004, they completed an internship at the Center for Machine Perception. The following year, they completed an internship at Advanced Computer Vision GmbH. In 2006, they became a Research Assistant at The University of Bonn. From 2011 to 2012, they served as a Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Machine Perception. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Software Architect at dawin gmbh. Finally, from 2016 to 2021, they held various roles at Humai Technologies GmbH, including Technology Analyst, Head of Recognition Technology, and Senior Computer Vision Engineer. Currently, they are a Senior Research Engineer at Pex.

Filip Korč obtained their Bachelor's Degree (Bc.) in Electrical Engineering from Czech Technical University in Prague between 1999 and 2003. Filip then attended Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) between 2004 and 2005, studying Electrical Engineering. Filip returned to Czech Technical University in Prague to pursue their Master's Degree (Ing.) in Electrical Engineering, which they completed in 2006. In the same year, they earned their Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from The University of Bonn. In 2018 and 2019, they attended WU Executive Academy for a Management and Leadership Program. Filip also holds a Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) certification.
