Jonas Nihoj

Jonas Nihoj is the current Head of Portfolio & Trading Services at Pexapark. Prior to this, they were the Director of Energy Trading & PPA at European Energy A/S from February 2019 to April 2021. Jonas was responsible for setting up the department, developing and implementing the PPA and trading strategy, negotiating and structuring of Corporate and Utility PPA’s, and portfolio management of PPAs and associated hedges.

From August 2017 to January 2019, Jonas was a Tanker Market Analyst at Dampskibsselskabet NORDEN A/S where they were responsible for market analysis of the product and crude tanker markets, market analysis of the European, US and Asian oil markets, and market strategy development. Jonas was also responsible for developing and implementing tanker FFA trading.

From September 2013 to November 2016, Jonas worked as a Senior Trader at MET International where they traded physical and financial contracts in European natural gas, gas oil, fuel oil, FX and emissions markets. Jonas was also responsible for market analysis of the European, US and Asian energy markets, creating a trading presence on most European gas hubs, and coaching traders, portfolio managers and analysts in the fundamentals of the energy markets, trading strategies and market psychology.

Jonas Nihoj has a B.sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
