Tiemo Thiess

Tiemo Thiess, PhD has extensive work experience in data science and research. Tiemo is currently a Senior Data Scientist and Squad Lead at PFA, where they are responsible for the development and maintenance of a Next Best Action system. Tiemo has also worked as a Data Scientist at PFA, where they focused on improving the code base and implementing coding best practices. Prior to PFA, Tiemo worked as a Data Scientist (Industrial PhD Fellow) at MAN Energy Solutions and as a Business Intelligence Analyst (Student) at the same company. Tiemo has also held roles as a Visiting Researcher at Copenhagen Business School, Teaching Assistant/Assistant Lecturer at IT University of Copenhagen, and Intern at Marketing Agency HerrmannKaechele GmbH. Additionally, Tiemo gained experience as a Student Assistant in Quality Management and Evaluation at Hochschule Flensburg.

Tiemo Thiess, PhD completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration from Hochschule Flensburg in the years 2012 to 2015. Tiemo then pursued their Master of Science (MSc) in Information Technology with a specialization in Digital Innovation & Management, focusing on Big Data Analytics at IT-Universitetet i København from 2015 to 2017. Tiemo furthered their education at the same institution and successfully attained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Data Science from 2017 to 2020.
