Anja Silic has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, primarily at Pfizer. Anja started their career at Pfizer in 1997 as a Product Specialist/Manager and worked in this role until 2003. From 2004 to 2008, they served as a Marketing Manager at Pfizer. In 2008, they transitioned to the role of Business Unit Manager, where they focused on primary care and established products until 2012. During this time, they also took on the responsibilities of Strategic Operations and New Product Launches Manager. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Country Portfolio Lead for Rare Diseases and Vaccines in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH). Anja Silic was then appointed as the Rare Disease Lead for the Adriatic region from 2016 to 2022. Following this role, they became the Patients and Healthcare Experience Lead for the Adriatic region from 2022 to 2024. Currently, they hold the position of Specialty Care Commercial Lead for Efficient Cluster Markets in Eastern Europe at Pfizer.
Anja Silic has a MPharm degree in Pharmacy from the University of Pharmacy, which they obtained between 1991 and 1997. Anja then pursued a Master's degree in Biomedicine from the same university, completing it between 1999 and 2002. Anja Silic continued their studies at the University of Pharmacy, obtaining a Doctorate (PhD) in Biomedicine from 2004 to 2007.
