Calman MacLennan is a recognized vaccinologist, immunologist, and clinician scientist currently serving as Vice President of Vaccine Clinical Research & Development at Pfizer. With a career dedicated to the development of vaccines for bacterial diseases and antimicrobial resistance, Calman has held various prestigious roles, including Honorary Professor of Vaccine Immunology and Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Calman founded the Bacterial Vaccines Network to accelerate vaccine development relevant to low- and middle-income countries and has contributed to significant advancements in global health, including the licensure of multiple vaccines. Calman received both a DPhil and a BA, BM, BCh in Medicine from the University of Oxford.
