Casey Olen is a synthetic chemist and researcher specializing in organic chemistry and catalyst optimization. Casey held the role of Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2019 to 2022, where they focused on transition metal catalysis and cheminformatic methods under Prof. Scott E. Denmark, and also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Prior to this, Casey worked as a Research Associate in Medicinal Chemistry at Gilead Sciences from 2017 to 2019 and completed a Data Science Internship at Dow in 2022.
