Chames Kermi has a diverse work experience in various research and scientific roles. Starting in 2010, Kermi worked as a Project Intern at CHU de Constantine. In 2011, Kermi interned at the University of Montpellier and also pursued a PharmD and Master's degrees in pre-clinical R&D. From 2012 to 2013, Kermi worked as a Research Scientist at sanofi-aventis. Kermi then went on to complete a PhD at the University of Montpellier from 2012 to 2016. Following this, Kermi worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CNRS and later at Stanford University School of Medicine. Since 2020, Kermi has been employed at Pfizer, first as a Senior Scientist Project Lead and currently as a Principal Scientist.
Chames Kermi has a diverse education history. They began their academic journey at the University of Constantine 1, where they earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree in Pharmacy from 2006 to 2011. Chames then pursued further studies at the University of Montpellier, obtaining a Master's degree in Non Clinical Research et Development in 2012. They continued their educational pursuits at the same university, completing a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular, and Cell Biology from 2012 to 2016.
Following their Ph.D., Chames joined Stanford University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Chemical and Systems Biology, contributing to the institution's research endeavors from 2018 to 2020. Looking to expand their skillset, Chames enrolled at Babson College, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General, from 2022 to 2025. Concurrently, they are also working towards a Certificate of Advanced Management in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services, which they expect to obtain from Babson College in 2023.
