Chen Zhang

Chen Zhang is a seasoned professional in biochemistry and pharmaceutical research, currently serving as Lab Lead and Principal Scientist at Pfizer since June 2021. Previously, Chen held the position of Director of the High Throughput Screening Facility at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from January 2009 to June 2021, where significant advancements in enzymatic and cell-based assays were achieved. Chen's experience includes roles as Senior Research Specialist and Graduate Research Assistant at the same university, focusing on high throughput screening and assay optimization. Chen began the research career at the Shanghai Institute of Biological Sciences as a Research Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a B.S. in Biotechnology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
