Christopher Hale

Christopher Hale is a seasoned bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and genomics sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Bioinformatics at Pfizer since December 2023, Christopher previously held the Director title at Seagen from September 2019 to January 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing bioinformatics operations and guiding teams at various levels, including as an Associate Director and Principal Scientist. Prior to that, Christopher was the Head of Bioinformatics at Northwest Clinical Genomics Lab at the University of Washington, focusing on the development of clinical analysis pipelines for next-gen sequencing data. Early career achievements include roles as a Senior Research Scientist, where a pipeline for genetic variant identification was developed, and as a Post Doctoral Researcher at UCLA, contributing to genomics-level characterizations. Christopher holds a PhD in Plant Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Biology from Florida State University.
