Daniel Eiras, MD, MPH, FIDSA, is an infectious disease physician specializing in internal medicine, infectious disease, infection control, public health, and epidemiology. Currently, they serve as the Director of Vaccine Clinical Research and Development at Pfizer and previously held roles as Lead Medical Epidemiologist and City Medical Specialist at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Daniel completed a fellowship in infectious disease at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Medical College and has also worked as Hospital Epidemiologist and Director of Infection Control at NYC Health + Hospitals. They obtained their MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and an MPH in Epidemiology from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Additionally, Daniel has contributed to research as a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
