Deirdre Whelan

Deirdre Whelan is the Senior Director of Pfizer CentreOne Operations at Pfizer, where they have held this position since 2020. They previously served as Operations Lead and Business Development and Asset Utilisation Lead at Pfizer from 2009 to 2020. Deirdre's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Technology Lead at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals from 2004 to 2009 and as a Formulation Scientist and Process Engineer at Elan Pharmaceuticals from 1996 to 2001. Educationally, they earned an MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology from Trinity College Dublin and hold a BSc in Chemistry and Maths from Maynooth University, as well as a Higher Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
