Doris Makari

Doris Makari is currently serving as the Breast Cancer Team Lead in US Medical Affairs at Pfizer since April 2022. Prior experience includes a notable tenure at AstraZeneca from January 2013 to April 2022, where Doris held several key roles, including Global Medical Head for Oncology GI & Pan-Tumor, overseeing the strategy for ENHERTU, and US Medical Head for Immuno-Oncology, managing the US IO Lung team and product launches. Additional responsibilities included serving on the Lung Ambition Steering Committee and fostering relationships with leading lung cancer experts and advocacy groups. Doris also held positions as US Interim Franchise Head and Senior Medical Director in Immuno-Oncology and Rheumatology. Educational credentials include an MD from Drexel University College of Medicine and a BS in Biology from Tufts University, with further medical education at the Medical University of South Carolina.
